Not to get off topic, but Super Sonic in levels was confirmed? That'd be great. But what if you have to collect seven chaos emeralds in every part? Will we get to go Hyper Sonic again after collecting fourteen? What if there are four parts? I'm guessing we'd get this transformation:

I'm so glad they chose Jun for such an important job. As for the music, i don't really mind if it's got a chip set sound. But hopefully with some modern production so it doesn't sound too aged. Y'know, retro for the sake of being retro.

Needless to say, I don't think many will be disappointed with the final product. Most of you will probably have noticed the sampled drum noise in the theme to Sonic 4 is the same as that from Sonic 1 - I think nice little touches like that will certainly make this title sound and therefore feel like a more retro outing with a modern varnish!

Agreed! I don't care what some people are saying about this game, I;m more than excited that it's happening and I've everything I've seen and heard so far.

Agreed... and I feel the complex, fast-pace style is very missing in the music we've heard so far.  Please, take no offense in this.  It just doesn't sound iconic like older or newer Sonic music.  I don't know why, either.  I mean, maybe Jun's having a hard time remembering how he made things happen with these synth noises.

Sonic 3 and Knuckles seems much more in the groove than the Sonic 4.  Back then, background music seemed to flow and have  faster, more complex melodies that took advantage of the synth sounds available.  I just don't understand it--Sonic Adventure 1 and 2 seemed to work up from the older games and sounded even better than theolder music.  Same thing with Heroes, '06, Black Knight, etc.

Sonic 4, on the other hand, seems like a step down to me.

I respect your opinion, but with all due respect, I don't think there has been enough music heard yet to even have this sort of opinion. 

Agreed. I just think we should wait a while longer until opinions are formed. And I too am just happy with everything I've seen so far.

Jun has never failed us before, so I have high expectations for the music, but not for the game. I am stubbornly not getting this game 'till I read a review. This time, I will not get crushed by the dreaded cycle!

I didn't think anybody would. It's a band called Escape the Fate. I am using my old laptop so I can't go to Youtube to show you. The first two tracks of This War Is Ours is awesome. The rest of the songs are scary.
