Smoking Discussion (split from small question topic)

A lot of my friends smoke, but it's their choice and doesn't really bother me. I'm not sure why you would even care if Jun or Johnny smoked, it's a completely normal thing to do, especially in that industry. I mean.. it's not like you'll suddenly stop being their fan if you found out they smoked is it?

But... why does this even need it's own topic? It was pointless to begin with, imo, and in your first paragraph, you succinctly explain why it is so unnecessary to discuss.

This thread is a bit pointless.  If we do find out that Jun or Johnny smokes, how does that benefit us? Sure, I am against smoking 100%, but this does seem a bit pointless.  If he does smoke, there's not much we can do about it except telling him not to do it.  And it is a habit very hard to break, as I know only a few people that have quit, so what would be the point? Yeah, and it will only get harder for those people who do smoke to stop as nicotine levels increase yearly in the products.  The people I know who do break smoking say they still get urges years after.  It's that bad.  And since it's a bad habit, Jun wouldn't want us to know unless he had pics showing it.

This thread should be locked. I really don't care if Jun or Johnny smoke. It really isn't going to affect my enjoyment of their music if they do. Personally, i don't smoke. But if anyone chooses to, then it's their own free choice.

I know... this isn't fun.  Sure, I do enjoy debates, but there's a time and place for that.  I don't think a musician's fan site is for this sort of thing.

Actually - I can understand why people would be disappointed if their heroes (or whatever) smoked. I feel like that. My opinions on smoking are pretty strong - but i'm not going to discuss it. I think we've reached the end of the road with this one.

haha.. sorry guys.. I just wanted this out of my topic, which i intended to be a quick question-answer thing. I was also unsure about whether there was even a point to this.. but more and more people kept talking about it, so you can see why I wanted to split it.
