I listen to all the people who complain about how unoriginal it looks so far or how this is a rehash of this or that, but, I mean give SEGA and Sonic Team a break. They've only been showing bits and pieces of the game so far. Has no one stopped to think that they're showing us the stuff we've already seen to not give away the new stuff that will possibly be in the game? After all the years of not having a 2D Sonic I can't understand how original Sonic fan that have been around since the Genesis days can't be excited about this game in some shape or form. So what if some of it is rehashed? The 3D Sonic games all have some sort of "rehashing" going on as well. But, it's like the old saying goes...."some people will just NEVER be pleased". Anyway, that's my two cents on this whole split in the sonic community about this game.  :P

Hopefully, they fix the running. In Sonic 3, his feet move so fast there is that trademark "loopy red blur" that was thankfully seen in Brawl. But now, it looks slower than Sonic 1. :-\ As for Jun being sound director, yay! Hopefully we'll get our first main-series Sonic game Crush 40 theme song since Shadow The Hedgehog!

The problem is, we know what all the Zones in Sonic 4 are already. And they are all rehashes. That said, they probably play out quite differently, and the addition of the homing attack will certainly mix things up. But no Sonic game has blatantly stolen from it's previous games as much as this (not counting gamegear and Sonic Pocket Adventure).

But, this is just Part 1. I think what we'll see is that this game will be the one without anything really original. I think they'll try to mix things up a lot more in the coming Parts. But I just think it's a bit lame to hype the hell out of the first part, and then have there be nothing new about it.

And do not count on a Crush 40 song in this game. I just do not think that is going to happen, based on the music we have heard, and how retro SEGA is trying to make this (and their apparent lack of effort so far). However, if they DO make a new track for the game, there is now truly only one song that will work.

That can't be confirmed and I would guess isn't true as it is an arcade machine along with RingWide

But there are rumors of an Sega console being released sometime in 2010 or 2011, it being based on the specs of these arcade machines don't trust 100% this mostly is from wikipedia.

Yeah I've heard about the Sega Zone being released. It's like a Genesis collection of games on a small console with all the Sonic games and some other classic Genesis games. I've heard that Sonic 4 is supposed to be released on it as well.

That's what I've heard too, but I guess we'll have to just wait and see.

Well it Seems Sega will be putting up another poll
Quote
Hey everyone,

In the near future, we’re going to get a chance to talk to you guys more about Sonic 4, including some in-depth discussion about the finer parts of the game.

So, we’d like to let you guys decide which parts you’re most curious about and would like to hear more info on. There may be even more polls like this in the future, but this time around we’re letting you choose between more details on how the Homing Attack works in the game, or, alternatively, the Music / SFX in the game.

Cast your votes between now and this Friday – there’s not an “all of the above!” option just yet, but we’d like to see what interests you the most.

Thanks all!

Since Jun is the Sound Director for this game I figured, It should be mentioned here.

As soon as i see Jun in person I'm signing his belly!!!

sega tries to please there fans every game. sonic heroes was to kidy, so they made shadow the hedgehog. Shadow the hedgehog was to violent and had a crappy story, so they made Sonic 06, Sonic 06 wasn't fast enough and had glitches, so they made sonic unleashed. Too fast but the 2-D sections are fun. sega fanboy comes along. why don't they remake Sonic 1!
