from Jun 1017 - 2006/10/18 04:20 Hello all!

Talking about the "NTB" on melodickrock.com CD, I provided the same song with Shadow without piano intro.
We didn't re-record it and there was no changes at all.
I can't check the music on CD at this moment since I've not received any from Andrew yet though.

And talking about the Line 6 stuff, I do use rack mounted POD Pro and also small POD XT.
I tracked almost all guitars through them with VHT Valvulator I.
Valvulator can spilit the signal to two, then I can drive two (POD XT and POD Pro) at the same time.
Basically there're 4 guitar backing tracks for every song. (2 each)

I know you guys found my latest interview on Sega of Japan website.
I was 18YO on first pic and early 20's on second one.
I will talk about upcoming Sega projects on next issue.

Also I found the great one on youtube.
http://youtube.com/watch?v=f9yXn78DdPY
Is it easy to make this kind of movie files for youtube?
I don't know how to do that!

Talk to you later,

Jun!

Re:from Jun 1017 - 2006/10/18 17:04 That's the way I did when I tracked guitars for Shadow songs.
I tracked backing guitars 2 times, for left and right.
Then there were 4 tracks total.
Sometimes I added some more with different settings.

Re:from Jun 1017 - 2006/10/18 18:39 hi out there
it's cool to know how to make such tracks, thx jun.
but on "Azure Blue World" from Emerald Coast, Sonic Adventure 1 (don't know if you can remember) did you use a harmonizer or is that this technique you've mentioned here?

PS: we need more music from you

Re:from Jun 1017 - 2006/10/18 19:06 Hi Jun,

AK! I didn't mean to open a can of worms! I actually just checked both the Shadow version and the melodic rock version just to make sure i wasn't going mad. On the piano version the drums kick in with about 4 minutes of the song remaining, but the melodicrock version goes on for a total of 4 minutes 19 seconds.

If you wish Jun, i could send you an MP3 of the melodicrock version that i have on CD? It's been a while but i'm very sure (as are others) that the 90 second clip that is posted on the website is as you describe. I don't know why it sounds so different on the CD.

How bizarre! Anyway, please let me know

Re:from Jun 1017 - 2006/10/18 21:11 Talking about the song "Azure Blue World"....
Intro... two lead guitars thru soldano
melody... with electric sitar thru battery powered small marshall
distortion backing guitar... double w/koa maple thru soldano thru soldano
clean backing guitar... road runner thru soldano with phase90

I did re-track this song for JxJ project with key=A. (Original key was C)
That version features Mark Schulman on drums & Takeshi Taneda on bass.

Re:from Jun 1017 - 2006/10/19 00:22 ((Psssst! Jun wasn't in that band, remember?))

I must have been taking the PSAT's when you visited, jun. not only did I have to sit for three hours straight but I missed your visit a second time!

Anyway, hi. I'm a big fan of your songs. I even got the Crush 40 CD (Baught) online and it was sent to me from moscow. MOSCOW! I was wondering how the C40 CD is not sold in the US, yet it's sold in moscow. it just doesn't seem to make any sence to me.

Re:from Jun 1017 - 2006/10/19 08:09 Hey Jun.
Could you confirm anything about a new Crush 40 album, that was mentioned in another thread, titled "From the Horse's Mouth"?

Re:from Jun 1017 - 2006/10/19 11:05 Jun, it's incredibly easy to use YouTube! If you have a personal digitalcamcorder at home, you can directly upload the video you record to your computer. From there, you can upload it for free on YouTube.

Email me if you feel so inclined, I can help with creating those kinds of videos.

By the way, I was once looking through some images on this site, and I thought I saw a double neck version of the "82". If it's real, what's on each side? I've always wondered.

There's a picture of it in the back of the SoA album (as well as a cartoon drawing on the cover). I haven't seen any more pictures though... I'd like to know a bit more about it too!

Re:from Jun 1017 - 2006/10/20 03:51 I have found something weird on the Sonic Adventure OST I had just obtained. On disc 1, Tracks 6, 7, 8, 11, 16, 29, 30, all have been cut too early. They have the ending parts of every song. I dunno if this was intentional or if it was a mistake. Oh yeah, on the song INVINCIBLE NO FEAR, the recording engineer must've pressed record too early, because if you rewind the song from the beginning (backtrack it to the song before), It sounds like you were tuning your guitar, there is a very weird noise on it.

On Disc 2 EVERY track has this problem. But Open Your Heart on Disc 2 sounds like someone unplugged the mic on Johnny. My friend's soundtrack has the same problem, and some MP3 sites have the same problem also. Although sites like sonicultimate.com do not have these problems with the songs. It just kinda freaks me out a little bit.

Oh, on my soundtrack, on Disc 1, Choose Your Buddy ~finger bass ver.~ was released twice. The slap bass ver. is much different on my friend's soundtrack than the finger bass ver. oh, plus it's longer than the finger bass ver.

Anyway, I still love the sonudtrack, and I hope there are SA Vocal albums out there. What does "Digi-LOG Conversation" mean? Do you think in 10 years there will be a job opening in the 'Sonic Team' music department?

from,
Tetris

Re:from Jun 1017 - 2006/10/20 18:55 I can't understand what you're talking about.
Are you talking about the SA1 soundtrack CD?
All songs have exact endings and there're no such kind of problems at all.
I do not want to talk about the *ripped files* here, sorry!

Re:from Jun 1017 - 2006/10/20 20:47 hi guys,
there's a song of SA1 you'll probably know...........

Code:

   (Lead Guitar 1) E|-----------3\----3-----3\---3---------------| B|----3-5--5-----3----------------------------| G|--5---------------5--5----4---4-----5--7b9--| D|--------------------------------5-7---------| A|--------------------------------------------| E|--------------------------------------------| (Lead Guitar 2) E|--------------------------------------------| B|--------------------------------5-----------| G|-------------9\----10------9\---------------| D|--7-9-10--10-----9----7--7----5---5-2-3-5--5| A|--------------------------------------------| E|--------------------------------------------| (Lead Guitar 1) E|-----------------3\--3--5--5p3-5p3----------| B|---------------5----3--------------6--5-----| G|--7b9r7-5-5-7-------------------------------| D|--------------------------------------------| A|--------------------------------------------| E|--------------------------------------------| (Lead Guitar 2) E|--------------------------------------------| B|------------------5--5--6--6p5-6p5----------| G|--5--5p0-2-2-0--5---4--------------7--5-----| D|--------------------------------------------| A|--------------------------------------------| E|--------------------------------------------| (Lead Guitar 1) E|--------------------------7-b9r7~-----------| B|------6-5-8pb10r8-6-5---6-------------------| G|--7-5-----------------7---------------------| D|--------------------------------------------| A|--------------------------------------------| E|--------------------------------------------| (Lead Guitar 2) E|--------------------------------------------| B|----------6-5-------------------------------| G|--4---7-5-----7-5---4-7-b9r7~---------------| D|----7-------------5-------------------------| A|--------------------------------------------| E|--------------------------------------------|

What's the song??? Guess!
As the uploads of tabs for "Download-Section" don't work I decided to upload it on the forum.
And another thing is that this is the recording technique of multiple tracking Jun has explained to you...just to give you an example ( Lead Guitar 1; Lead Guitar 2)...nice idea, huh
