Rules 1.6 (Updated 5 November, 2006) - 2004/03/08 13:27
These are the new rules that don't only apply to the forum, but the whole site. Make sure you are aware of these before you begin posting.
1. Membership and administration
The following rules are absolute and will not be changed. If you have any issues regarding the rules, contact us via one of our e-mail addresses or the messaging function. As there seems to be a stable amount of visitors, there will be no new moderator assignments for the time being. As admins, we reserve the right to edit, move, lock and delete threads in accordance with these rules.

2. Rules
Unlike other forums, we do let people of any age register, so it is important to exercise restraint when posting. From my personal experience, the work safe rule is best rule to adopt. If it is suitable for daytime TV, then it can be posted. The linking and discussion of the following issues are strictly forbidden:
a) Emulation
b) Piracy (Including MP3s)
c) File Sharing
d) Material of an obscene/sexual nature
e) Material of an invasive nature (personal details)
This is the final warning, from the administration, after reading several topics that alarmed us.
Please do not, for any reason, discuss your use, disclose other's use, or endorse the illegal download of music on this board.
Regardless of your position on filesharing, your personal use of filesharing, or music industry policy, it is against the law in several countries.
We will have no complaints over deleting your posts regarding this matter, without question and/or suspending your account after this date. You will be warned for one (1) offense, after that your account will be placed on a 4-week suspension. If you feel your account has been wrongfully suspended, please contact the administration.
Under no circumstances is advertising allowed unless it relates to a discussion. If you have a site you want to promote, e-mail one of us and depending on whether it is appropriate or not, we may add it to the links section.
Other activities that are discouraged are:
a) Deliberately derailing threads
b) Deliberately posting inaccurate thread titles
c) Hurling personal insults
d) Parody threads
3. Etiquette
These are guidelines rather than rules, but should be observed out of respect for the community.
Be mindful of people from other cultures. From the statistics we have seen there are visitors from all over the world, including many where English is not the primary language. It isn't my first language, nor Jun's, so keep this in mind. Related to this, respect other peoples opinions and do not feel the need to post about any users actions or opinions. Take it to e-mail.
Dont type in excessive CAPS or acronyms. We're not grammar nazis here, but we shouldn't have to decipher whole paragraphs of acronyms. Avoid the use of colorful language, there are times when it can be used, but in most circumstances you should be able to express yourself without it.
If you have issues with another member, don't clutter the board with it, don't get into quote wars, start flaming and trolling and other such inconveniences.
If you would like to use a very snazzy signature, it would awesome if you could make it fit the following guidelines:
ONE IMAGE, fitting 450 x 75 pixels
Please keep "blinking" or "flashing" to a friendly level, and PLEASE avoid the 10 fps area, as this causes siezures IRL.
No links to sites with adult content. If content is questionable, please link to the disclaimer page.
No links to sites promoting the use of filesharing. Filesharing violations will be handled par same rules as posts.
No adult language, personal insults, or private information listed.
Private info includes, and is not limited to: email addresses, phone numbers, and messenger information. You MAY post this information in your profile, and encourage users to check yours.
Signatures are cool, and can add to your online personality, so please, dress your posts like you would dress yourself in SEGA's offices. Jun DOES read this site from work and many of our posters visit this site from public institutions. If what you link to gets this site blocked, then people visiting from similar places won't get to learn about Jun's work.

yeah zack, i know wot u mean, but i find that most of those people who do that, are actually bots set up to make automated registrations to sites like this, to advertise other sites. pretty crap, but admin can delete them... i think... just like they can delete posts.... erm... Pammi?

I basically have to be more strict around here as Jun requested I delete a thread yesterday, and that simply should not happen. He's a very busy guy and seeing things like that doesn't look good on the fans IMO.
Edit: Parody thread = copying an existing thread but changing a few things to make it funny

Crikey! I'm a moderator? How'd that happen? . Heh - thanks Pammi - but what exactly do i have to do?
I feel bad for my last post because i was referring to a song which is unsuitable for younger viewers. However i didn't say any lyrics from it (only the name of the song) - do edit it if you wish. I do not mind. I will certainly keep the rules in mind, but it is OK to use stuff like "LOL" in moderation right?

I feel kinda bad now....
I mean Jun requested a post to be deleted ...
I hope he does'nt hate us or anything
From now on i wil lbe more careful in rexpect to what i'm saying , and once again sorry Pammi, its not really easy being someone who has to get news form Jun that he doesn't like a thread
And English is not my first language , French is ... but i understand englsih very well....
However if i put myslef in my shoes a long time ago i would not really understand anything...
