Was listening to Live and Learn - 2008/08/19 22:24
I don't know if anyone else noticed but Guys! The verses in Live and Learn are not just powerchords as I once thought! The only reason I noticed was from listening to the LaL demo with the "vocal remover" effect on (another way is to pull the headphones out of the socket just the right amount. doesn't work on everything, though.) Anyway, I was listening and I heard something I had never heard before in the verses and prechorus! They are not just powerchords, it took me like 15 minutes to even begin to figure one out because its so hard to hear. I mean, unless you listen VERY VERY VERY carefully, you probably won't hear it. The other guitar that plays those tink ta tink ta tink ta tink ta dink dink (i hope you know what i mean by that) throws you off which gets you thinking that its just that guitar making it sound like its more than a powerchord. Trust me, its not. it has some 6ths instead of 5ths (a 5th is basically a power chord interval, for those who dont know)so instead of the notes A and E it would be A and C#. ITS CRAZY MAN! CRAZY!!!! seriously guys, take a very careful listen, its a little easier to hear in the 2007 mix. You must listen EXTREMELY close to notice it.
